Talon Esports has formed a partnership with M88 Mansion, naming the betting site as the main title sponsor for their Dota 2 team.

The partnership entails featuring the branding of M88 Mansion across the Dota 2 team’s kits, in-game player names, and social media platforms. The objective is to enhance awareness and reach for both parties, both locally and beyond.

Speaking on the partnership was the CEO of Talon Esports, Sean Zhang, who talked about the importance of building the right ecosystem for the team to strive. He also expressed his excitement about the partnership and the great deal of trust M88 has shown in the esports organization. He stated that both entities share the same objectives and one of which is geared towards providing a “new standard for gaming excellence” in Southeast Asia.

“We’ve just began our journey in Dota 2 and it’s vitally important to build the right ecosystem to support our ambitions – which is why we’re incredibly excited for M88 Mansion to place their confidence in our organisation’s vision,” Zhang said.

“We both mutually share the same goal in setting a new standard for gaming excellence in SEA but also to really service our fans and the wider gaming community by providing fun, memorable experiences that they will cherish.”

M88 Mansion’s Head of Business Development, Alan Wafer, echoed the shared values that exist between both entities and revealed their goal of growing esports even on a worldwide scale.

“We’re excited to partner with Talon and become the title partner for their Dota 2 team,” he said.

“We share the same values and aspirations for esports and its growth not only in the SEA region but worldwide. We are keen to grow together and engage with such a passionate audience.”

M88 Mansion joins a long list of Talon Esports partners which already includes KFC, Yesports (NFT marketplace), Logitech G, and SteelSeries.

Talon Esports’ Dota 2 team was formulated at the end of the previous year, having already secured entry to Division 1 of Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Southeast Asia 2021-2022. The Hong Kong esports organization also has professional teams across League of Legends, Valorant, and several other esports titles.

About Talon Esports

Talon started their Dota 2 team on November 16, 2021, and have since won about $25,000 in total earnings. Their first earning came earlier in the year at the Tier 3 DPC Southeast Asia 2021-2022 Tour 1: Division II. They earned about $9,000, having placed fifth in the group stage.

Their second and last earning thus far came in Tour 2, after a second-place finish that saw them walk away with $16,000. The organization announced an all-star roster that included Tal “Fly” Aizik, Kim “Gabbi” Villafuerte, and Damien “kpii” Chok, but Fly and Gabbi left by January 19, 2022.

Their current team consists of kpii, Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon, Rafli “Mikoto” Fathur Rahman, Brizio Adi “Hyde” Putra Budiana, and Worawit “Q” Mekchai. Mikoto, kpii, and Hyde are part of the pioneer team, while 23savage and Q recently joined the team.
